Fall Out Boy is back on tour this time with featured guests AWOLNATION and Pvris. This tour is not to advertise their most recent album, “American Beauty/America Psycho” but to tour for their fans who have possibly not had a chance to see them. They haven’t toured in the United States formally since their “Save Rock and Rock” tour back in 2013 when they announced their band back from hiatus.
Fall Out Boy is a four man band from Wilmette, Illinois that formed in 2001. The band consists of lead vocalist and guitarist Patrick Stump, guitarist Joe Trohman, bassist Pete Wentz, and drummer Andy Hurley. Throughout the history of the band there hasn’t been a single replacement member which is rare in the band scene. There was a four year hiatus between 2009 and 2013 but all returned to the band. With their returning tour which was named “Save Rock and Roll” was put together for Fall Out Boy to prove that as they said, “we never broke up,” although everyone viewed/views it as a reunion tour.
The band itself can be said to be part of the genres pop punk, pop rock, and alternative rock. They have been together from 2001 to 2009, and 2013 to present time. (Fall Out Boy’s hiatus was between 2009 and 2013) They were first signed to Uprising Records in 2002 and later left to join fellow band Paramore’s shared record label Fueled by Ramen and stayed there from 2003 to 2004. Currently they are signed to Island and DCD2 Records (signed since 2004).
Fall Out Boy can be widely known by one of their very first albums named ‘From Under the Cork Tree’ where their well known singles “Sugar, We’re Going Down” and “Dance, Dance” premiered from back in 2005. In total they have six (6) studio albums.
PVRIS is an American rock band from Lowell, Massachusetts with a total of three members. The band consists of vocalist Lyndsey Gunnulfsen (stage name Lynn Gunn), guitarist Alex Babinski, and bassist Brian Macdonald. At first their band was name Paris but had to change it in 2013 due to legal reasons therefore it was changed to what is known today as PVRIS. It can be said that PVRIS is barely beginning and so far they only have one album that debuted November 4, 2014. This album was very well received and is called “White Noise” that consists of ten songs. PVRIS has toured various times especially on this year’s Warped Tour 2015.
AWOLNATION is an American electronic rock band from Los Angeles, California that has been active since 2009 under the Red Bull Records label. They were formed and are fronted by Aaron Bruno. Their first ever EP was released on iTunes May 18, 2010. To this day they have released a total of two studio albums. One was released March 15, 2011 and was named Megalithic Symphony while their second studio album was barely release this year March 17 under the name Run.
Both of Fall Out Boy’s special guests are on the young side, barely starting their bands but hopefully they will reach the stardom Fall Out Boy has. Both bands have had their successes and continue to rise.
